Monthly Archives: November 2010

another tuesday…

I’ve got my apron on…just finished doggie treats and I’m ready for a break, before it’s on to making some Lavender Laundry concentrate & Lime Kitchen & Bath Scrub.  Snapped a few pics…

Lucky Dog Treats

these are made with all natural ingredients, so I love giving them to my furry friends.

Lavender Bath Fizzy

These I made yesterday and are in the rack drying….they were a bit troublesome and didn’t want to stick together very well.  I’ll be making another batch by sundown to make sure I have enough.  Think I’ll make more of the “Muscle Rescue” since I’m having a crink in my neck from shoveling snow.

Speaking of shoveling snow….

Designer Flannel Flaxies

If you don’t have one of these Flannel Flaxies yet, I used mine all last night to soothe said “crink” in my neck.  I heated one up and threw it between the sheets to warm my cold feet too.

Eco-Friendly Lavender Laundry Concentrate

A reminder for me to get some mixed up and packaged! {This stuff is selling like crazy!…it’s awesome because you only need 2 tablespoons per load {1 tbsp.  if you have a high-efficiecy washer}.  REMINDER: try the white vinegar, it will make your towels fluffy.

and think about shaving soap {$8} & a brush {$14.50}  for your guy for Christmas…mine loves the creamy lather.  Use hot hot water with a brush…and a big fluffy towel.  Great way to start the day!

a bucket full of Go-to-Market bags!

ahhhh.....sugar scrubs

Wooden Soap Molds and cutter

And another reminder to me to get off the computer and fill these soap molds with SOAP!

A reflective day…

Its misty and dreary here today…kind of ushers in a slower pace.  We’ll kind of…seems like things should move a little slower on a dreary day.  However, still bustling around the Irish Twins “headquarters” -if you will.

Around this time of year, I start making my all natural doggie treats as stocking stuffers for your pups.  Because our pups are family, I always try and remember to do a little something special for them too.  So, I’ve got my oven fired up and ingredients out to begin baking the biscuits!  Bandit knows and is diligently scanning the floor for anything that may be dropped 🙂

Our beloved Bandit

So along with our doggie soap {Bandit’s Doggie Soap} we now have all natural doggie biscuits for the holidays!

Chicken Little & Bandit's Lucky Dog treats

pkg. of 6 sells for $2.25

They are not on our website…but email me at: info@irishtwinssoaps if you are interested and I’ll ship some out for your pup!

Here’s the ingredient list so you know what your pup is getting:  whole wheat flour, rolled oats,  cornmeal, egg, milk, cheddar cheese, beef/chicken boullion, water, sugar.

Handmade Christmas

One of my favorite things at Christmastime is getting a handmade gift.  The effort and time taken by someone to make a gift makes the receiver feel special {and loved}.  My sweet {Irish Twin} sister does this for us every year…neckwarmers, flaxies, bath tea bags, a trivet, pillowcases, and ornaments are just a few of the things she has made for us over the years.  And every year we anticipate and try to get it out of her what she is making.

I love it too, but seldom match the imagination and quality that she puts into her gifts.  Peppermint bark, chocolate dipped potato chips, and homemade kahlua is what I’ve come up with the last several years…I’m going soap this year! 🙂

And if you’re not so savvy with making gifts yourself….this time of year is fun because there are always a lot of events where crafters sell their handmade goodies at markets & fairs.  Here is a list of a few in the area….
